Excitement!

I am currently still trying to figure out what I want this blog to be.  I have realized though that I am a musician and this is a musician's blog.  One thing that I have noticed about the blogs of other musicians is that they talk about their gear, especially if they get new gear.  At the moment, I know that my readers are few, but I want to keep writing and updating, so I think I'm going to give this a go.

Last night, Guitar Center had an after hours event for "their best customers."  They even gave me a $20 gift certificate to spend.  Needless to say, I was excited.  However, when I got there, the manager was standing in the doorway in a suit.  He was offering me free refreshments and handing me a sheet of paper with all the items on sale.  I looked down at the sheet to see in amazement that all software was 25% off, plus I had the $20.  I have been dying to buy Stylus and EZDrummer for my home recording setup for a couple months now.  This seemed like the perfect opportunity.  So I have Stylus to do really awesome drum loops, and EZDrummer to actually program drums for me.  Now I just need to put some work into some of the demos I've started.
