Trip to Gatlinburg

I really like this new iPhone application. I'm currently writing you from the back of a van on the way to Gatlinburg, but I'm using my
laptop.

I'm on the way to play guitar at a youth retreat with Carl Cartee. Carl is one of the worship leaders at Fellowship and was nice enough to ask me to come play with him. I'm really excited about the opportunity. Apparently there are going to be about a thousand kids
there.

I'm getting to play with some cool guys too. Carl is great, and he brought his wife Heather, and his sons Oak and Ezra. Seth Marcum, who also goes plays at Fellowship, is playing bass. The only person I don't know is the drummer, Ben Showalter. I think it's going to sound great.

I woke up at 5:30 this morning to finish packing and to load my car with all my gear. I had to be at Carl's house at 6:45. I actually watched the sun rise this morning which is ridiculous to me. We'll drive for 3.5 hours, unload, soundcheck, rehearse, and play sometime tonight.

Until then, I'm going to work on recital stuff.

I should have a decent amount of free time on this trip too so hopefully I can get some work done for my recital and also keep my blog updated with how the trip is going.
